How do operators know if their data is complete and correct by the DOE filing deadline?
The Ensure Complete report is the main tool that should be used by stakeholders to ensure all data has been submitted prior to the DOE Gas Royalty Allocations Deadline This report is available in 3 different ways: The Registry automatically runs this report on approximately the 25th day after the month of production (and placed in the user’s Registry inbox), the DOE automatically runs this report approximately the 43rd day after the month of the production (and is placed on the Ministry Statements and Invoices area of the Registry) and the “User Requested” Ensure Complete can be requested by the client at any time (results placed in the user’s Registry inbox).. Errors or omissions not corrected by the deadline will be subject to DOE Provisional Assessment rules.
What is the difference between the SAF/OAF Ensure Complete ran by the DOE and found in the Ministry Invoices and Statement area and the report ran in the Registry and found in the Registry inbox?
The differences are minimal and both should be used to ensure you have all crown allocations complete. One difference is that the DOE version contains information regarding Meter Station out of balance situations whereas the Registry version does not. Additionally, the Registry version contains information about missing credit situations (e.g. Injection Credits, Return Fuel Credits) whereas the DOE version does not. However, it should be noted that both the DOE and Registry versions are identical in terms of advising users of the ‘main areas’ that would be subject to Provisional Assessments, should errors exist. For a more complete explanation of the differences between the two versions, please see Tip 99 on the Registry’s Tips and Alerts area of the website by clicking HERE.
