Allocations: Optional Partner Reporting

What is meant by Partner Reporting?
The Crown requires allocations for Crown royalty trigger events however allocations can be submitted for any volumetric transaction (i.e. both royalty trigger and non-royalty trigger events) to inform partners (working interest owners - WIOs) what their share is.  For example, allocations can be filed to report the applicable shares of closing inventory or production. This will allow partners to query and request reports from the Registry to find out their net share of the gross volumes.  Operators will not need to send this type of information out to partners via other means (phone, fax, etc.) as they will be able to retrieve it from the Registry as necessary.

When will partner SAF/OAF data be available?
Operators can currently put in SAF/OAF data for all products and activities and the owners can extract them from the Registry.  While not mandatory, a number of companies have endorsed using the Registry exclusively for this activity.  Industry representatives have recommended the move towards full partner reporting via the Registry be completed as soon as possible. The majority of large producers expect to be participating in partner reporting by the end of 2005.

Regarding partners - non operators: If we are charged gas & product crown royalties on the crown invoice, then why can we not view our share of volumes on the Registry?
You should be able to view your share with the WIO and OAF report.  Anyone named on an owner allocation can query the OAF or request the report and it will show you your share. Only if you are not named directly on the SAF/OAF (for example you are listed on a royalty reassignment (an RMF2), which is a business process currently not in the Registry) then the Registry would not be able to recognize you as having authority to view this data.
