Guidelines for Setting Report Parameters for Running of Reports
Petroleum Registry of Alberta: Allocation Filing Examples
This document demonstrates two different scenarios and the allocation reporting for each. The first scenario illustrates the proper reporting of allocations (SAF/OAF submitted by volumes) involving "cascades" to upstream facilities. The second example demonstrates the use of the "ALL" function in volumetric allocation submissions and how the volume and energy are determined by the Registry.
Valid Well Groups to be Used in the Registry
Effective with October 2002 production, the only wells that continue to exist for Department of Energy Stream Allocation reporting are "non-consolidated" well groups. These well groups were previously reported to the DOE with a letter "A" proceeding the ID (e.g. ABWGA12345). However, for reporting purposes in the Registry, the "A" must be removed. The above link will take clients to a complete list of all active well groups, based on information received up to December 11, 2002.
Edit/Validation Rules related to Volumetric Data Submissions to the Registry
Multiple requests have been made to the Registry Service Desk relating to the specific edits/rules that will be applied to volumetric data submitted to the Registry. In order to accommodate these requests this file/document has been created based upon the technical documents written for the computer programmers who developed the Registry. The language and formats of these tables have not been translated into more user-friendly language because of time constraints. The tables in this file outlines all the Registry edits that users will need to successfully prepare volumetric data submissions for the Registry.
Registry Gas Equivalent Factors for Shrinkage Calculation (Updated January 2008 Production)
The Registry will use this table for deriving the gas equivalent volumes of liquids. This will be used in the determination of the activity of shrinkage (SHR) at a gas plant or gathering system. The volume of liquids calculated for the activity of process (PROC) is reported in m3. The Registry must use this volume and convert it to a gas in 103m3 for the reporting of the activity of shrinkage. It will also be used in balancing injection facilities that receive liquid volumes that are converted to solvent for injection. The liquid receipts are reported in m3 and the solvent is reported in 103m3. The balancing of these products is done as a group, in 103m3. For additional information see Alert entitled "Changes to the Registry Gas Equivalent Factors (GEF's)" posted on the Registry Website under Tips & Alerts - Alerts -Current
