Well Infrastructure

Are all Well Licenses listed in the Registry?
Yes once a well license is issued at the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) they will load the license information into the Registry.

Are all Well events listed in the Registry?
Yes a well is set up with an initial status once the well license is loaded into the Registry.  Well licensees report well drilling and completion data to the EUB Well Records system which then loads addition well information including if applicable other associated well events into the Registry.

Who is responsible for reporting Well Status changes in the Registry?
The well licensee is responsible for the well’s status changes with the exception of the initial and final status (i.e. Drl & C and Abandoned) which is done by the EUB.
