Queries

What is the difference between a query and a report?
A query is an online request for information relating to a single event (it does not span multiple production months or multiple facilities. The data can be viewed or printed.  A report is requested by the user and the Registry generates the information either the same day or overnight and makes it available to the requestor.  A report can span multiple production months and multiple facilities. Reports are generally available in two formats: PDF and CSV.

Can I view/query any amendment that has been submitted to the Registry?
Yes, if you create 100 amendments you will be able to query/view all 100 amendments.

When data is submitted to the Registry when will the data be available for viewing?
Data is available to Registry users as soon as it is processed in the Registry, keeping in mind the applicable security measures employed on confidential data. Note: This applies only to submissions beginning with the October 2002 production month and forward.

Can you query a well without entering the license number?
No, but you can use the well lookup to find the well by township, range and meridian. When you select the correct well from the resultant list, the system will auto-populate the license number.
